BK Electronics (Anyang, Korea) is developing RPD-3500, a quantitative immunoassay reader, which can be fully customized for any kind of rapid test kits or strips. The RPD-3500 analyzes the results of the rapid diagnosis kits by imaging the test line and interpreting the image according to the analysis algorithm developed by the company. Users simply need to connect the RPD-3500 to a PC or laptop, smartphone or tablet, and the immunoassay reader will provide a quantitative analysis of the test kit for a more accurate disease diagnosis. It provides quantitative and qualitative analysis, depending on the type of rapid test kit.

The small and light-weight POCT device weighs only 400 grams and is easy to use due to its simple operation method and user-centered GUI design. The test kit insertion chamber is miniaturized and simplified to perform only the function of measuring results of the test kit, while the operation indicator displays the device status. The RPD-3500 can be connected to a computer via USB for controlling the device, transferring the test results and providing power supply. It provides accurate and fast results and has the ability to store more than 3,000 test results.
