Monitoring System Facilitates Effective Patient Care

The system not only records and displays local patient data such as vital signs, but also offers direct access to patient information held in almost any system on a hospital's information technology (IT) infrastructure. The MX800 also enables applications to run natively on the embedded informatics platform, while keeping the real time patient monitoring separate and protected. This allows clinicians to easily view patient data from sources such as an electronic medical record (EMR), imaging studies, and other clinical applications, helping save caregivers' time and aid in clinical decision-making and workflow applications at the point of care (POC).

The IntelliVue MX800 is based on the easy to use IntelliVue user interface and applications, and is designed with a wide touch screen with smooth surfaces and a minimum number of seams, making it easy to clean, thus reducing the risk of cross-contamination. The system works with multiple vendors' IT applications, and can thus interface with existing infrastructure, allowing information to be viewed and acted upon earlier. The IntelliVue MX800 patient monitoring system is a product of Philips Healthcare (Best, The Netherlands).
