A new system combines innovative design and tailor-made s ultrasound solutions for obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN) applications.

The Mindray Medical (Shenzen, China) Nuewa I9 is operated via an exam-specific iConsole control panel that adapts to different clinical scenarios uses Smart Scene, a scenario-oriented volume scan technique that combines advanced algorithms with domain knowledge to automatically identify tissue characteristics. Smart Scene thus provides an organ-specific diagnostic tool that functions throughout the whole exam procedure from imaging optimization, plane acquisition, to quantification. Smart Scene 3D can be widely used in women's healthcare during pre-pregnancy, obstetric, and post-partum exams.

Nuewa I9 is powered by Mindray's ZST+ platform, which overcomes traditional trade-off limitations to deliver exceptional image quality for infinite imaging solutions with non-stop improvements. Nuewa I9 also comes with automated tools to improve workflow and efficiency in women's and neonatal care, such as Smart-VTrace, Smart Pelvic, and Smart Hip. Additional features include a foldable height and compact body; E-ink keys that can be easily customized for the most frequently used functions; and extremely intuitive 3D/4D interactions with reduced knob adjustments.

“Nuewa I9 offers an unrivaled ultrasound scanning experience in its class. Each feature and innovation have been deliberately designed to address the daily challenges of OB/GYN clinicians,” said He Xujin, general manager of the Mindray imaging system division. “The result is a full-stack smart solution for extraordinarily efficient care, which covers the entire continuum from pre-pregnancy to obstetrics and post-partum.”
