By HospiMedica International staff writers
Posted on 29 May 2017
A next generation cardiac care image-guided therapy platform with optimized system integration, and improved lab performance for enhanced stenting strategies has been unveiled.

The platform is intended to facilitate improved and more personalized interventional cardiology procedures and improve patient care cost-effectively.

The Royal Philips Azurion image-guided therapy platform is the center of an integrated solutions portfolio and supports a wide range of configurations for routine high-volume and advanced image-guided therapy procedures. More...
Azurion integrates data from patient health records, imaging systems, interventional devices, and navigation tools. Philips has also unveiled the iFR Roadmap technology for interventional labs that enables real-time navigation through vessels and coronary arteries and facilitates the treatment of coronary artery disease. In addition, the new SyncVision iFR co-registration solution with CORE IVUS and Physiology technology is intended for stenting procedures with complex lesions, and can help clinicians map pressure gradients onto an angiogram.

Ronald Tabaksblat, business leader Image Guided Therapy Systems at Philips, said, “As we celebrate 40 years of innovation in angioplasty, it’s incredible to see how far we’ve come. From guiding the first balloon angioplasty catheters to aiding state-of-the-art interventions of today, and tomorrow, with the introduction of Philips Azurion, our next-generation image guided therapy platform. We are dedicated to dramatically transforming our technologies to better address physician and patient needs. At EuroPCR, we’re demonstrating this commitment with our integrated solutions that seamlessly connect people, technologies, and care protocols across the health continuum.”
