Alliance for Cleaner Air in Medical Centers

By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 09 Nov 2000
Two companies in the air purification business have formed an alliance to combine the best of their air-cleaning technologies in order to address indoor air quality (IAQ) in such spaces as laboratories, emergency rooms, and hospitals. More...
The two firms are Honeywell Commercial Air Products (Minneapolis, MN, USA) and Air Purification Technologies, LLC (Valencia, CA, USA).

The companies will offer technologies and products to help reduce dust, spores, germs, viruses, bacteria, mold, and fungus. They will begin their alliance by jointly marketing existing products. In the meantime, both companies will research and develop new products for these same markets and others. Each environment will be evaluated prior to installation to determine the most efficient system.

Air Purification Technologies is part of a family of companies dedicated to healthy environments. Veloz Holdings includes Ultraviolet Devices, an international leader in the use of ultraviolet technology for water and air purification in institutional settings. Servicor provides state-of-the-art clean rooms for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and the medical community.
