Advantech (Taipei, Taiwan), a provider of medical computing systems, has launched its POC-L series of non-medical-grade point-of-care touch computers comprising two models differentiated according to their display size – POC-W213L (21.5 inches) and POC-W243L (23.8 inches).

The POC-W213L and POC-W243L industrial-grade computers feature the latest computing capabilities and wide-viewing angles in a slim design. More...
With a system that is fanless and energy efficient, they are powered by an Intel Core i5 7th generation or Celeron 3965U Dual-Core processor and run on the Windows 10 or Linux operating system. Users can view the images from any angle with the IPS (in-place switching) display.

The panel computer housing is water & dust proof to prevent unwanted incursions and aid in infection control. The clinical point-of-care terminals come with I/O connectivity on the backside and support internal storage based on 2.5-inch data carriers. The computers offer optional features such as RFID, 2x COM RS232 serial ports and Wi-Fi dual-band with Blue-tooth.

The POC-L series are suitable for multiple healthcare applications within hospitals and clinics such as hospital administration, pharmacy information systems and electronic medical record access. They are also easy to mount on mobile care stations, making them ideal for nursing care applications as well.
