A novel cloud-based electronic health record (EHR) system comes preloaded with all the codes and forms required to start charting on day one.

The MediTouch EHR is cloud-based, all-in-one software that includes EHR, practice management, claims clearinghouse, and patient portal services. User can perform an entire subjective, objective, assessment, and plan (SOAP) note from start to finish using an intuitive touchscreen interface that is optimized for the iPad. Additional features include patient workflow monitoring, insurance eligibility status, and an e-prescribing module that includes a prescription renewal process and interactive maps that suggest the closest pharmacy for the patient.

Users can also easily connect to all the major laboratories and view and order lab results. The MediTouch EHR also offers cross-compatibility with traditional desktop and laptop devices to help connect diverse healthcare industry participants, thus reducing administrative costs, offering a superior customer service experience, and improving the overall quality of patient care. The MediTouch EHR is a product of HealthFusion (Solana Beach, Ca, USA). The Meditouch EHR also facilitates Meaningful Use (MU) incentive payments by providing an easy to read MU report card.

“As a physician I understand how challenging the practice of medicine can be, therefore we remain dedicated to continue improving our EHR and medical billing software to help physicians nationwide provide the best possible care for their patients,” said Seth Flam, MD, CEO of HealthFusion.

The 2009 American Reinvestment & Recovery Act (ARRA) includes many measures to modernize infrastructure, one of which is the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) Act, which supports the concept of MU, defined as ensuring that certified EHR technology is connected in a manner that provides for the electronic exchange of health information to improve the quality of care.
