QRS and Sunlight in Technology/Marketing Agreement

By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 05 Feb 2003
Under a cooperative technology and marketing agreement, QRS Diagnostic (Plymouth, MN, USA) and Sunlight Medical Ltd. More...
(Tel-Aviv, Israel) have adapted the software components of their products so that the EKGCard and SpiroCard devices of QRS can function on the Omnisense bone sonometry units of Sunlight.

The EKGCard turns standard computing devices into lightweight, portable, 12-channel electrocardiography heart monitors. SpiroCard is a software-based spirometer with disposable mouthpieces that measures the volume and velocity of airflow from the lungs and provides real-time graphical results. The Sunlight Omnisense units are high-end bone assessment devices designed to deliver high precision and accuracy along with user-friendly, radiation-free measurement at multiple skeletal sites to detect osteoporosis and assess fracture risk.

"Adding these applications to Omnisense costs up to 50% less than purchasing separate heart monitors and spirometers. This makes the technology affordable for primary care physicians,” said Yfat Scialom, general manager, Sunlight, Europe.
