Digital Radiology Workstation with Customizing Software

By HospiMedica staff writers
Posted on 13 Mar 2002
Image-management software that enables radiologists to create and cutomize their image archives for clinical reference and presentation can now be seamlessly integrated in the digital radiology workstation of Sectra (Linkoping, Sweden). More...
This is the result of an agreement between Sectra and International Medical Multimedia, Ltd. (IMM, Abingdon, UK).

The arrangement widens the Clinical Solutions Network of Sectra. This network allows Sectra to connect third-party vendors to Sectra's software products in the medical field.
IMM's image-management software, called AIMS, is a suite of software tools that enables users to manage image respositories and to build and manage their own databases. AIMS is one of several special partner applications that Secra presented at the annual European Congress of Radiology (ECR) in Vienna.

"With the Sectra Clinical Solutions Network, we aim at maximizing the benefits that users derive from our PACS-connected workstations by being able to offer a broad range of highly specialized clinical applications that can be seamlessly integrated into our workstations,” said Torbjorn Kronander, president of Sectra Imtec AB.
