Amendia (Marietta, GA, USA), a manufacturer and distributor of spinal implants and surgical instruments, and Medline Industries (Mundelein, IL, USA), the largest privately held manufacturer and distributor of health care products in the United States, have announced a new strategic business alliance.

The agreement is intended to align Amendia's spinal surgical device business, which includes innovative Class II and Class III medical devices used in spinal surgical procedures such as spinal fixation systems, implants, and instruments, with Medline's medical and surgical products network. More...
As part of the agreement, Amendia's manufacturing facility will complement Medline’s 50 manufacturing facilities and distribution centers around the world.

“This investment and alliance provide a tremendous opportunity for our company, the Georgia community, and the spine industry as a whole. Amendia will benefit from Medline's professional management team, expansive distribution channels, manufacturing capacity, and cost efficiencies,” said Jeff Smith, CEO of Amendia. “Medline's investment, following an extensive due diligence, is a significant indicator of the confidence sophisticated investors place on the future of Amendia.”
