Philips Enters Agreement with Masimo for Patient Monitoring Technology

Royal Philips Electronics (Best, The Netherlands), a diversified healthcare provider, signed an agreement with medical technology company Masimo Corp. More...
(Irvine, CA, USA) under which Philips will include Masimo's rainbow SET technology in its patient monitoring devices.

Masimo's SET technology measures total hemoglobin, oxygen content, carboxyhemoglobin, methemoglobin, and PVI in a noninvasive, continuous manner by analyzing multiple wavelengths of light.

“We are very excited about this partnership,” said Deborah DiSanzo, executive vice president, Patient Care and Clinical Informatics, for Philips Healthcare. “The integration of rainbow SET technology represents a great benefit for Philips’ customers. With rainbow integrated into Philips patient monitors, clinicians will have access to innovative, potentially lifesaving measurements including hemoglobin. Our partnership with Masimo furthers our Patient Care and Clinical Informatics strategy to simplify workflow by giving clinicians the measurement they need at the bedside, and we believe these measurements will help improve and save lives.”
