Posted on 18 Jan 2011
Medical Fair Thailand (Bangkok), the biannual international exhibition on hospital, diagnostic, pharmaceutical, medical, and rehabilitation equipment and supplies, will take place in September 2011 in Bangkok.

About 300 exhibitors from 30 countries and 5,000 trade visitors are expected to be present at this year's event, which will take place during September 14-16, 2011, at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (Bangkok, Thailand). More...
The exhibitors will display a wide array of state-of-the-art medical and health care devices, services, and solutions for inpatient, outpatient, and rehabilitative care. A two-day conference addressing the urgent needs of the region will complement the exhibits.

The exhibition will provide vital access for companies trying to penetrate the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) markets, with a combined population in excess of 540 million people. The changing demographics, longer life expectancy, and an aging population will have an enormous effect on the need for better healthcare.

The healthcare sector in the ASEAN region is set to top US$50 billion in 2010, while an estimated $2.2 billion will be spent on medical devices and consumables. Additionally, Asia's medical tourism industry is expected to reach $4.4 billion by 2012, with an estimated 1.32 million medical tourists coming to Asia from all over the world. With the increase in foreign patients, particularly in Thailand, many of the healthcare institutions are in need of new equipment, devices, solutions, and better technologies to serve the medical and healthcare needs.

Medical Fair Thailand, organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia (Singapore), is recognized as Thailand's most important resource and business platform for both international and regional suppliers from the medical and healthcare sectors. The exhibition serves as a meeting point for healthcare providers, medical suppliers, industry professionals, government representatives, hospital administrators, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals looking for the latest innovations in healthcare.
