The 2010 edition of Hospitalar (São Paulo, Brazil), the Brazilian and Latin American Healthcare Fair, will be held on May 25-28, 2010, convening more than 1,250 Brazilian and international exhibitors. More...

Hospitalar 2010, the international fair of products, equipment, services and technology for hospitals, laboratories, pharmacies, health clinics and medical offices, will occupy all five halls of Expo Center Norte (São Paulo, Brazilr), one of them exclusively dedicated to the nursing area, in a partnership between Hospitalar and the Regional Council of Nursing (COREN) of São Paulo. The new area will enhance nursing participation in the fair, and it will be held simultaneously with a large nursing forum held in integration with Hospitalar.

Hospitalar is also an important healthcare forum; in the 2010 edition, nearly 60 events will be held simultaneously, including congresses, conferences, and sector meetings, where area trends and strategic guidelines in the healthcare business management will be discussed at length. The events are organized by Hospitalar in conjunction with leading Brazilian healthcare organizations, such as Brazilian Medical Association (AMB), the Brazilian Association of the Private Hospitals (ANAHP), the National Health Confederation – Brazil (CNS); the Brazilian Association of Importers of Medical and Hospital Products (ABIMED), the Hospitals Employers Association of the State of São Paulo (SINDHOSP), the Brazilian Federation of Hospitals Administrators (FBAH), and others.

"Leading companies – Brazilian and foreign – choose Hospitalar to introduce their new products and enhance their business and contacts with buyers from Brazil and other 60 countries,” said Waleska Santos, M.D., president and founder of Hospitalar. "Besides that, the fair is a unique opportunity to meet the healthcare leaders and find professional updating. In the first semester, this is the strategic meeting point for the international health community.”

The 2009 edition of Hospitalar hosted 86,000 professional visits, consisting of doctors, nurses, PTs, administrators, distributors, and other professionals interested in the healthcare area. The international visitors came from 60 countries, mainly from Latin American countries, but also from the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Russia, and others. The 2010 edition is being held in the month of May to avoid a collision with the FIFA World Cup 2010 that will be hosted by South Africa.
