The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC, Washington, DC, USA) will hold its annual meeting in Chicago (IL, USA), July 23-27, 2006, at McCormick Place Convention Center. More...

This is the largest clinical lab exposition in the world, offering new science and new technology in all areas of clinical diagnostics, automation information systems, point-of-care testing, and biotechnology. Last year, the Clinical Lab Expo included more than 600 organizations occupying more than 1,600 booths.

Among the offerings this year are five outstanding plenary sessions and 30 symposia, as well as short educational courses, interactive workshops, poster sessions, and "Meet the Experts” sessions. The hot topics to be covered this year include patient safety/lab errors, evidence-based medicine, personalized medicine, test utility, cardiac markers, genomics/proteomics, cancer/tumor markers, and molecular diagnostics/genomics. Thus, the meeting will give attendees an opportunity to keep up with the latest trends and advances in the profession while networking with peers and forming lasting relationships.
