Consulting Services for European Hospitals

By MedImaging staff writers
Posted on 21 Mar 2006
A new consulting services group will provide management consulting to healthcare business managers at hospitals across Europe.

Agfa Healthcare's (Mortsel, Belgium) Consulting Services group will provide a range of consulting services, including development of strategic direction, situation analyses, return-on-investment analyses, resource allocations advice, and workflow adaptations. More...
The new group will be headed by Luc Maes, program manager for Agfa Healthcare Consulting, whose team of consultants will work closely with hospital administrators.

"Medical quality and cost efficiency remain fundamental qualifiers for all healthcare institutions as they seek to provide enhanced patient care. The rapidly changing healthcare environment, through new governmental and demographic parameters, is making it increasingly difficult for institutions to identify the right targets and actions for their own business,” stated Philippe Houssiau, president, Agfa Healthcare. "Through our experience and partnerships in the hospital environment, Agfa Healthcare has gained an in-depth knowledge of the business aspects that drive our customers' operations. We want to share this expertise and provide sound business advice to our customers.”

Services provided by the Consulting Services group will include a business case service, which assesses the strategic and financial effects of digitization projects on the whole organization and helps create a financial plan.
