Eastman Kodak Co. More...
(Rochester, NY, USA) recently opened a multimillion dollar state-of-the-art facility to develop localized medical imaging and information solutions for Asia-Pacific customers--and to provide enhanced services to these customers, which include hospitals, imaging centers, and clinics.

Based in Pudong, Shanghai (China), the center will also serve as an operations center, offering remote services, pre-staging of customer equipment, and serving as a showcase for the company's medical imaging and information products and solutions through its Health Imaging (HI) Group. In addition, the center will serve as the headquarters for HI's Asia-Pacific services and research & development.

The center "expresses our commitment to customers and to growing our business in Asia,” stated Dan Kerpelman, president of Kodak's Health Imaging Group. "Not only will our R&D team innovate localized products from this facility, but customers also can come to the center for product demonstrations in a "real-life” setting that resembles the workflow of a typical healthcare environment. Additionally, with our services team headquartered at the center, customers can expect better and faster service.” The center's services technicians will handle customer-care issues 24-hours a day.
