Orlando to Host International Meeting of Thoracic Society

The 100th International Conference of the American Thoracic Society (ATS) will be held May 21-25, 2004, in Orlando, FL (USA). More...
This scientific forum is the largest annual conference in the world devoted to discussing new research findings and high profile issues related to respiratory and critical care medicine. More than 15,000 people are expected to attend. Information will be presented at scientific presentations, lectures, postgraduate courses, symposia, seminars, and workshops.

Newsworthy clinical topics to be covered include new advances in acute renal failure therapy, additional results from the U.S. National Emphysema Treatment Trial, the latest therapies for thoracic malignancies, emerging issues in air pollution, the relationship between airway inflammation and sleep disordered breathing, and novel therapies for the treatment of sepsis and septic shock. Briefings by research scientists will also be scheduled. Additional meeting information is available on the ATS website.
