Kendro Acquires H+P Labortechnik

In a move that will add new product lines to the company's portfolio, Kendro Laboratory Products, a business of SPX Corp. More...
(Charlotte, NC, USA), has acquired H+P Labortechnik AG (Oberschleissheim, Germany). Terms were not disclosed.

With annual revenues in excess of U.S.$12 million, H+P provides a wide range of Varioklav steam sterilizers and Variomag magnetic stirrers for the pharmaceutical, biotech, academic, and medical markets. Kendro designs, manufactures, and markets a wide range of equipment for sample storage, preparation, and processing. SPX is a global provider of technical products and systems, industrial products, and service solutions.

"The addition of H+P strengthens our technology base and adds several new product lines to our current product and service offering,” said Dennis M. Pope, president of Dendro. "H+P's premier product position and high-quality image complement the Kendro brands and enhance our ability to provide customers with complete solutions through our existing worldwide sales channels.”
